Hi, I'm in my 2nd year of my Masters Program and haven't started writing for my thesis yet. The reason is that my adviser wants to decide my research topic and he's still undecided yet. What would you do in that regard? I have an assistantship with him but I don't wanna spend 3 years for a Masters
In addition to what the Facebook User said to prior to presenting possible topics, it might also be helpful to do a quick abstract search to see if there is anything out there related to YOUR interest area and what the advisor has published to add to the list. There might be something that is related to what the advisor has published that might dovetail nicely with your work. Be persistent in getting an answer by a date that you set for a final decision on the topic area. Good luck!!
