Origin or Sigmaplot or something else? What tool do you use to make quality graphics for papers?

Specific details: Excel can not satisfy my needs for drawing graphics for papers. I would like to try something else. How do you like other tools like Origin or Sigmaplot in terms of graphic quality and ease of use?
